On this day, 28 years ago, Sachin Tendulkar became the youngest cricketer ever to slam a Test half-century. Sachin hits a smashing 59 off 172 deliveries, which included four boundaries. He scored the first international half century of his career in the second Test of the 1989 series against Pakistan. Sachin’s innings came to end when he was trapped LBW by Imran Khan.

Sachin made his test debut on 15 November 1989 against Pakistan in Karachi in November 1989 aged 16 years and 205 days and rest is history. He ended up becoming the most successful cricket legend with 100 international centuries.
