Smriti Mandhana will represent Hobart Hurricanes in the fourth season of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). The attacking opening batter previously appeared for Brisbane Heat.
India’s T20I skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who was the top scorer for Sydney Thunder in the second season has extended her association with the team for the upcoming season also.
“I’ve heard from many players that the Hurricanes group is a great squad to be around and I can’t wait to get to Tasmania for the matches” she said after being signed by Hobart Hurricanes.
Hurricanes’ coach Salliann Briggs too was excited by Smriti’s entry in the squad.
“Mandhana is a proven performer on the world stage, we saw that just last week with her knock against the Aussies. I can’t wait to see her in purple, she’s an exciting addition not only for us but for the whole competition.” – said Salliann Briggs.
