Team News:

The Auckland Aces are looking for a repeat performance of last Saturday’s victory when they take on the Central Stags in the Burger King Super Smash Elimination Final tomorrow. The Aces won that match by eight wickets to secure hosting rights for the game at Eden Park Outer Oval. A win tomorrow will see the Aces take on the Knights in Sunday’s Grand Final. Aces are not expected to change the winning formula.

The Central Stags have regained the services of BLACKCAP Doug Bracewell heading into this Friday’s sudden death Burger King Super Smash Elimination Final. T20 star Blair Tickner has been ruled out after spraining his ankle during warm-ups at the squad’s training session in Napier yesterday. Power hitter Josh Clarkson, who possesses one of the competition’s higher strike rates at 146.23, is also out of the Finals with a torn muscle in his groin, sustained as he was bowling in the nets at the same training session. Clarkson is replaced in the squad by deeply experienced allrounder Kieran Noema-Barnett. Bracewell, Adam Milne, Seth Rance and left-armer Ben Wheeler will lead the bowling department.
