Gambhir slams Afridi for derogatory comments on India

Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir heavily bashed Shahid Afridi for derogatory comments on India. Gambhir-Afridi controversies are trending in the media for over quite a long period. The clash between Gambhir and Afridi that started on the cricket field is now stretching beyond the playing ground. This time the reason being Shahid Afridi’s extremely ill-mannered comment on India, PM Modi, and Indian Army.

In a viral video, Afridi is seen accusing the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi of committing religious atrocities in India. Gautam gambhir gave a befitting reply to Afridi.

Gautam Gambhir slammed Afridi on twitter
“Pak has 7 lakh force backed by 20 Cr ppl says 16 yr old man @SAfridiOfficial. Yet begging for Kashmir for 70 yrs. Jokers like Afridi, Imran & Bajwa can spew venom against India & PM @narendramodi ji to fool Pak ppl but won’t get Kashmir till judgment day! Remember Bangladesh?

Earlier Shahid Afridi had asked Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh to appeal the public to donate to the foundation run by him. Indian netizens had come down heavily on both the players for asking to support Afridi considering his anti-India remarks in the past.

Both the players have now expressed the regrets over Shahid Afridi’s comment. Harbhajan said that he does not want to contact afridi and Have No Relationship With Afridi From Now On.

Yuvraj Singh said….
“Really disappointed by @SAfridiOfficial‘s comments on our Hon’b PM @narendramodi ji. As a responsible Indian who has played for the country, I will never accept such words. I made an appeal on your behest for the sake of humanity. But never again”

Harbhajan too replied to Yuvraj Singh Tweet

Earlier in an interview with sports journalist Vikrant Gupta, Harbhajan Singh has expressed his deep regrets over the entire controversy. He said that he was trying to help needy peoples across the border on humanitarian grounds, and had not expected such comments from Afridi. He also said that he would not tolerate such remarks against India and will not engage with him in any way from now on. He also extended his apology to everyone who is hurt by his actions and vowed not to repeat such things in the future.

Fans, who were earlier upset with both the Indian cricketers are now in support of them after they released a public statement. The controversy is now trending number 1 on Twitter India.

Many other cricketers and celebrities also came forward to express their displeasure over the video. Faul-mouth Afridi is infamous for hate-mongering and anti-India comments. Shikhar Dhavan and Suresh Raina were in no mood to compromise with the national interest.

Shikhar Dhawan was quick to remind Afridi that ” Kashmir humara tha humare hai aur humara hi rahega. Chaiyeh 22 crore le ao, humara ek, sava lakh ke barabar hai . Baaki ginti apne aap kar lena “

Raina tweeted
“Gosh! What all a person must do to remain relevant! Even more so for a nation that is living on alms. So, better do something for your failed nation and leave #Kashmir alone. I am a proud Kashmiri and it is and will always remain an inalienable part of India. Jai Hind! “
